More than two years ago, the Holy Spirit began insisting that I re-read the Book of Mormon. Of course, I didn’t recognize the impulse as anything but a good idea originating within my own intellect. That’s what I do with anything – process it intellectually first.

That is very kind, but it is interesting to realize that the Nephites had a land of promise, yet felt they were wanderers and strangers in it. That is a brilliant insight.
As is your responding to the Spirit about the Book of Mormon.

If the “insights” were brilliant, they were really just responses to the Spirit in both cases.
